It is all about Eurovision in Malmö and Europe
The artists are now in Malmö. The rehearsals and semifinals are in full swing and the big final is on Saturday. All TeliaSonera activities are up and running and the technical preparations at the arena are completed.
TeliaSonera´s own studio in Malmö is well visited
Everywhere at Gustav Adolfs Torg in Malmö you see TeliaSoneras purple color. You will find both our Purple glass studio and Telias Super-Hangout. You can take part of the live artist performances at the Purple studio on site and via live broadcasts on supercharged.eurovision.tv and Telia Digital TV. All competing artists will or have already come to the Purple Studio. Today Wednesday, the Swedish contestant, Robin will come, and Bonnie Taylor. Tomorrow Thursday last year’s winner Loreen will also pay a visit. Hosts at the Purple studio are Andreas Lundstedt, from Alcazar, and the comedian Christoffer Linell. Stay tuned for interviews, backstage reports and much more!
The technology behind it
The Purple studio is remote controlled from the TeliaSonera Head Offices in Stockholm, and there is a 100 GB fiber connection between the Purple studio and the TeliaSonera control room. In addition to this, TeliaSonera has upgraded the mobile network in the whole city of Malmö,and free WiFi Homerun hotspots have been installed. In the Malmö Arena, where the finals of Eurovision Song Contest are being held, we have installed a fixed network and we provide the connection between the audio from all the TV commentators and the TV viewers in all the countries, via our ISDN services.
