Full network speed for Norwegian customers
As of 1 January 2017 Norwegian customers will be able to enjoy unlimited data speed anywhere, at any time, in Telia Company’s mobile network.
In an ongoing campaign, Telia Company’s Norwegian mobile customers have been enjoying unlimited data speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s (megabit per second) since 1 September 2016. The campaign has encompassed all Telia-owned brands including OneCall, Chess, and MyCall.
Permanent full speed
Telia Norway has now decided to provide unlimited speeds for all customers – both customers of all Telia brands and customers of mobile virtual network operators (MVNO) who lease access to Telias network, as of 1 January 2017.
Telia Company is the first Norwegian mobile operator to provide access to unlimited speed for up- and downloads for both B2C-, B2B- and MNVO-customers at any time, anywhere in the country. “We want to be a digital facilitator in society, and we no longer believe it is appropriate to differentiate speed,” says Kirkeng.
Free speed equals better customer experiences
Telia Company has invested heavily in its mobile network in recent years to develop Norway’s most modern 4G mobile network, and the company has won independent mobile network tests in 2016 and was recently chosen as the preferred service provider for the second consecutive year.
“Feedback from our customers who have had no speed limit for a while is positive. We want to leverage the full capacity in our network, and without speed restrictions customers will be able to enjoy the fastest speed available at all times. We strongly believe that this will result in improved digital customer experiences,” says Kirkeng.
