Marie Ehrling one of the finalists to sustainable leadership award
Telia Company’s chairman is nominated for sustainable leadership award hosted by The Swedish Association for Sustainable Business. Alongside Marie Ehrling, Hans Vestberg, CEO, Ericsson; Richard Bergfors, CEO, Max Hamburgers and Karl-Johan Persson, CEO, H&M also stand as possible winners.
The Sustainable Leadership Prize is awarded to leaders in the Swedish business sector who have contributed through exemplary leadership towards social, economic and/or ecological sustainability in their organizations and in society. The purpose of the award is to draw attention to the work on sustainable development carried out in Swedish society and to increase interest in these areas. The prize has been awarded annually since 1999. On the 13th of October the winner will be announced in Stockholm.
Marie Ehrling is nominated for her systematic work, perseverance and innovative thinking which has helped change a large organization operating in some of the world’s most problematic markets. The nomination text describes Marie Ehrling’s hard work to implement more control and a value-driven culture. Culture change has been implemented through clear leadership at the top and changes in management, all to ensure ethical behaviour throughout the organization, the nomination says.
