Stein-Erik Vellan new CEO of Sonera
Stein-Erik Vellan has been appointed as the new CEO of Sonera. He has a long background in the telecommunications business and will become a member of Telia Company’s group executive management as of 1 January 2017.
The 51 year old Stein-Erik Vellan has for the last 15 years worked in different management positions within the telecommunications industry in Norway and internationally. He has most recently been CEO of Globul, Telenor’s Bulgarian operations.

New gen telco

"Exciting next phase"
Vellan replaces Valdur Laid as the CEO of Sonera as of 1 January 2017. Johan Dennelind says: “I want to take the opportunity to thank Valdur Laid for his hard work with transforming and laying the foundation for an exciting next phase for our operations in Finland.”
The appointment of Stein-Erik Vellan is part of a larger organisational change within Telia Company.
