Divestment of Sergel approved by Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority
Telia Company’s divestment of Sergel to Marginalen has been approved by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.
In June 2016, Telia Company announced the agreement to sell its credit management services (CMS) and debt purchase business Sergel to Marginalen, a privately-owned bank and financial services company. The transaction was conditional on relevant regulatory approvals.
Today, the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority gave their approval to Marginalen’s acquisition of Sergel. The next, and final, step in the process will be the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority’s decision which is expected within the coming months. The sales transaction will be completed after it receives all final regulatory approvals.
