Marie Ehrling has been awarded the Gold Medal for “her great contributions as a leader and her important work on the boards of Swedish companies. With great integrity she has promoted change in a way that distinguishes modern leadership.”

Also receiving Gold Medals at this year’s Annual Meeting are Professor Magnus Berggren and Professor Lars-Gunnar Mattson. This year’s Great Gold Medal has been awarded to Professor Dan Brändström.

Commenting on this year’s laureates, IVA’s Björn O. Nilsson says: “IVA’s 2017 medalists have done important work in research and industry, are good role models and are highly deserving of the recognition that these medals provide,”

IVA is an independent academy whose mission is to promote the engineering and economic sciences and the advancement of business and industry for the benefit of society. Each year IVA recognizes individuals who are currently doing unique and significant work in the fields of engineering, economics and industry. These individuals are presented with either IVA’s Great Gold Medal or a Gold Medal at its Annual Meeting.
