TeliaSonera Denmark tops 500,000 mobile customers

TeliaSonera Denmark has dramatically strengthened its position on the
mobile market in Denmark. In a little over 18 months, the company has
increased its mobile customer segment from 288,000 to 500,000 - an
increase of almost 75 per cent.

On January 1st, 2002, TeliaSonera Denmark had 288,000 mobile customers -
and by mid-August 2003, the number of mobile customers had topped
500,000. For TeliaSonera Denmark, this marks a strategic milestone on
the mobile market in Denmark, as such impressive growth figures show
that the targeted drive to achieve critical mass in the number of mobile
customers has been highly successful.

The strong growth in TeliaSonera Denmark's mobile business is firmly
rooted in the development and sale of a range of attractive mobile
products for both the private and business sectors. TeliaSonera Denmark
maintains a diversified, up-to-date range of mobile market products and
subscriptions designed to fully meet the current needs of the various
subscriber segments that make up the mobile sector.

especially important that TeliaSonera Denmark constantly develops its
business dynamically in pace with the market. By introducing a wide
range of products, over the last 18 months TeliaSonera Denmark has
succeeded in meeting the varied demands of Danish mobile customers. Most
recently TeliaSonera Denmark has enjoyed tremendous success with its
Telia Xpress product, where for a fixed monthly subscription of DKK 120
users can send SMS messages at no cost. Since its launch in March, Telia
Xpress has generated over 100,000 new customers, making it our fastest
growing product ever - and a profitable product at the same time."

The growth in TeliaSonera Denmark's mobile business is reflected in
TeliaSonera's Q2 statement of accounts for 2003, which shows an increase
of no less than 29 per cent in external net sales to DKK 223 million
compared with the same quarter the previous year.
