TeliaSonera Finland and SRV Viitoset are building Kamppi into a center for spending time together

TeliaSonera Finland Oyj and SRV Viitoset Oy, a subsidiary of SRV Group Plc, have concluded a cooperation agreement under which TeliaSonera Finland is responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the communications and information technology services of the Kamppi Center. The business center, which will open its doors for the first time in 2005, will be a major center for commerce and living in the very center of Helsinki. TeliaSonera Finland will implement the best communications services for companies, consumers and tourists visiting and doing business in the center.
TeliaSonera Finland Oyj and SRV Viitoset are both very satisfied with the cooperation that now has begun. "We chose TeliaSonera Finland as our cooperation partner because we both are top professionals in our own areas and we rely on each other's expertise," says Timo Nieminen, Deputy Managing Director of SRV Group Plc.
Kamppi will be a modern business center offering all services needed. In February 2004, TeliaSonera began active development of the communications services in conjunction with SRV. The service offering is developing as the business center grows. TeliaSonera Finland wants to make sure that the services for the Kamppi buildings and businesses and visiting consumers all operate with the same technology. "No matter if the user of the services is a business or a consumer, when visiting Kamppi, he will have at his disposal well-functioning services characterized by a simple user experience," says Anni Vepsäläinen, President of TeliaSonera Finland Oyj.
TeliaSonera Finland implements the services using the best technology currently available. "SRV Viitoset wants its customers to be provided with innovative and modern services, and we have promised to accept that challenge," continues Anni Vepsäläinen.
The business center in Kamppi will comprise offices, flats and a business center with numerous businesses, shops and a restaurant world. The Kamppi Center will also include a long-distance coach station and a bus terminal for traffic to and from neighbouring Espoo as well as a goods station, a new connection to the Kamppi metro station and, additionally, plenty of open spaces for spending time and enjoying oneself. The Kamppi Center will be a diverse and pleasant area inviting to relaxing and easy shopping and consuming. TeliaSonera Finland is developing the best possible ways of working as well as, among other things, modern mobile services for the customers of the business center.
Kamppi is designed and built as a modern business center. The daily number of visitors to the center has been estimated to reach 200,000 persons a day. The center, parts of which will be open for nearly 20 hours a day, has several entrances. Kamppi can easily be reached on foot directly from three different street levels or via underground walkways from other locations of the city center. Those arriving by bus can reach the center by elevator or escalator, and those waiting for a bus can for instance pass their time by downloading the latest news to their mobile phone or play a new mobile game. Together, SRV Viitoset and TeliaSonera Finland are developing opportunities for the future.
"The construction and development of the Kamppi Center supports the business activities of the entire city center of Helsinki. When Kamppi is completed, the city center of Helsinki is completed!" adds Timo Nieminen of SRV Group Plc.
