Myllykoski buys international telecom network from TeliaSonera
Myllykoski Oyj and TeliaSonera have concluded a multi-year cooperation agreement on a telecommunications network covering all of Myllykoski’s paper mills and sales offices. TeliaSonera’s DataNet network will reach 16 countries, and the agreement also covers voice services in the company’s Finnish locations.
“Better overall network performance, reliability, service coverage, and cost-effectiveness were our key concerns when we invited tenders from different telecom providers and set targets for them. TeliaSonera’s offer was the one that best met all our criteria,” says CIO and Director IT Vesa Erolainen from Myllykoski Oyj.
Myllykoski, one of the largest producers of printing paper in the world, will have its new network in use by the end of 2009. The network will cover nine production facilities (in Finland, Germany, Switzerland, and USA) and 16 sales offices around Europe.
