Competition is well developed in mobile communications with three established operators. The mobile market is very dynamic and Lithuania has the highest mobile penetration of the three Baltic countries.
The fixed network market was deregulated in 2003. Telia still has almost 100 percent of the fixed voice market and faces competition primarily from the mobile sector and cable TV companies.
