Ncell reports network problems after Tuesday’s major earthquake in nepal
Today, Tuesday 12th of May, a new powerful earthquake convulsed the nation of Nepal. The 7.3 magnitude quake shut down approximately 350 of Ncell’s 2600 base stations.
The network has been running slow during the day due to congestions. Our Nepali staff is now working hard to get the network up and running again.
“No Ncell employees are reported injured, as far as we know. During the day we have tried to reach all our staff to ensure they are all well”, says Håkan Kvarnström, Head of Enterprise Risk Management at TeliaSonera.
