Telia Company releases Sustainability Update 2016

Today Telia Company releases its second Sustainability Update report, which highlights the progress mainly in January-June. The report covers our sustainability focus areas, as well as other topics such as the release of the new Code of Responsible Business Conduct and the Human Rights Impact Assessments in region Eurasia.

“During the period we stayed busy with enhancing and strengthening our ethical work culture, executing on the continued work to leave Eurasia responsibly and developing our shared value creation work. We still have work to do to ensure that our stakeholders understand what we are doing to deliver on the above and how our core business contributes to societal development, sustainable growth and the UN Sustainable Development Goals,” says Johan Dennelind, CEO of Telia Company.

Also published today are two other reports. The latest Law Enforcement Disclosure Report, covering January-June, presents statistics and information on government surveillance requests, freedom of expression “major events” and national laws that provide governments with direct access to information about our customers and their communication. The Human Rights Impact Assessment summary report lays out the findings and recommendations from the HRIAs conducted of our region Eurasia local companies. The HRIAs were carried independent human rights expert BSR, facilitated by Telia Company, during the year.
