Telia Sense now available in Denmark
Telia Company has launched its connected car service – Telia Sense - in Denmark.
Telia was the first operator in the world to launch a cloud-based solution for the connected car in Sweden in November 2016. Now it is introducing the service to the Danish market, allowing 1.8 million Danish car owners to connect any car made since 2001 to the internet.
"There is a lot of talk about Internet of Things and Telia Sense is probably the most concrete IoT solution in Denmark. Today's launch contains a lot of exciting perspectives for a safer and more efficient car park in Denmark," says Morten Bentzen, Head of Telia in Denmark.
How it works
By using an app together with a piece of hardware, owners of older cars get access to smart services and features that up until now were only accessible in high-end cars. Telia Sense comes with 4G wifi, car control through smart alarms and notifications, parking assistance through Easypark and road assistance through Viking. Danish customers can also benefit from discounts at insurance company Alka.
