Divestment of Sergel approved by Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway

The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway, Finanstilsynet, has announced its approval for Telia Company to sell its credit management services and debt purchase business Sergel to Marginalen, a privately-owned bank and financial services company.

Telia Company decided to divest Sergel Group after a thorough strategic review, where Sergel was deemed to be non-core for Telia Company. The agreement was signed in June 2016 and has been under evaluation from regulatory authorities since then.

The long-standing relationship between Sergel and Telia Company will remain under the ownership of Marginalen and Sergel will continue to deliver the same service to Telia Company.
