Telia Company to assume chairmanship of the ETNO Executive Board in 2018

The Members and Observers of ETNO, the Association representing Europe’s leading providers of digital networks and services, elected today Phillip Malloch, Vice President and Head of Group Public Affairs at Telia Company, as the new Chairman of the ETNO Executive Board.

ETNO has been the leading voice of the EU telecommunications industry since 1992, counting in its ranks 40 members and observers, who are pan-European operators representing 70 percent of total sector investment and hold new entrant positions outside their national markets. ETNO closely contributes to shaping the best regulatory and commercial environment for its members to continue rolling out innovative and high quality services and platforms for the benefit of European consumers and businesses.

“Telia Company has a long and active presence in Brussels and the chairmanship of the Executive Board of ETNO is foremost a recognition by the Members of the Association of this engagement and contribution to the European debate,” says Malloch. “It is a new challenge for Telia Company and for me personally to bring the perspective of our leading digitalized region and newgentelco approach to the work of ETNO, while supporting the goals of the entire membership.”

Malloch takes over from Steven Tas, Director Regulatory from Proximus Group, in January 2018 for the term duration of one year, which can be renewed.
