Thomas Kjærsgaard new CEO of Telia Denmark

Thomas Kjærsgaard, who has served as acting CEO of Telia Denmark since September 2019, has today been appointed CEO of the company.

47-year-old Thomas Kjærsgaard joined Telia Denmark in August 2018 as Head of Enterprise and previously worked at Microsoft as Sales Director. Over the past three months he has served as acting CEO of Telia Denmark, and today formally takes up the role of CEO of the company.

Emil Nilsson, Senior Vice President, Head of Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark and Eurasia at Telia Company, says: “I’m very pleased that Thomas has accepted to take on this position on a permanent basis. He is a business focused leader with a high level of ambition and strong customer focus. He also has the right attitude focused on execution, which is crucial to succeed in the competitive Danish telecommunications market.”

During Thomas Kjærsgaard’s tenure as acting CEO, he has contributed to setting the framework for Telia's new organizational structure, which comes into force at the turn of the year. Kjærsgaard has also worked intensively with Telia's strategy and business plans for the coming year, for which he now has the overall responsibility for realizing.
