Telia presents GPRS service for companies

Telia will today be presenting its Telia Mobile Access corporate solution at Networks Telecom Fair. The service makes it possible for Telia's Swedish corporate customers to access their email, diary and parts of the company's intranet over their mobile phone. The service works with both GSM and GPRS.
- Telia Mobile Access is a good example of GPRS technology bringing added value to a service that already works well. The service works superbly with ordinary GSM but if you have access to GPRS as well, you can get even more out of it, says Anders Bruse, head of Telia Mobile Sweden.
Corporate customers in Sweden who have access to Telia's GPRS service Telia Mobile OnLine and the new service will be able to be permanently connected to their own company and have access to their normal tools such as email, diary, address and phone books and parts of the intranet, even when they are out of the office. But they do not pay for the time they are connected, but only for the quantity of data sent and received.
- Telia Mobile Access means that staff can work more efficiently when travelling and visiting customers since they have access to their ordinary tools even when they are not in the office, says Anders Bruse, head of Telia Mobile Sweden.
The service is based on an IBM Lotus Domino platform and is aimed at companies both large and small whose staff spends a great deal of their time out of the office.
