Major ADSL initiative by TeliaSonera to provide connections to another
100,000 Swedish households
TeliaSonera Sweden has decided to build out its ADSL service at another
104 switching centres in 73 municipalities in south and central Sweden.
This is a major initiative that was first presented by Marie Ehrling,
head of TeliaSonera Sweden, in February this year. Below is a list of
the municipalities where ADSL will be rolled out.
Approximately 450,000 customers already have broadband access through
agreements with a number of the operators that use TeliaSonera's
network. Slightly more than 100,000 households will now be given the
opportunity to get easy access to broadband through ADSL in the telecom
network. The rollout is expected to be completed within six months.
