Telia HomeRun enters into WiFi cooperation in Spain

TeliaSonera Sweden has signed a roaming agreement for wireless broadband (W-LAN) with Kubi Wireless, Spain's largest W-LAN operator. Kubi Wireless offers public wireless connections (hot spots) at more than 100 sites in Spain, including Spanair's airport lounges. The cooperation agreement is effective January 19, 2004.
With the agreement with Kubi Wireless, Telia HomeRun users with a Base or Flat subscription gain access to mobile broadband connections at more than 2,300 hot spots in Europe, including 450 locations in Sweden.
TeliaSonera Sweden has previously signed roaming agreements for W-LAN with several leading hotspot operators, such as Swisscom Eurospot, BT Openzone and Metronet. TeliaSonera Sweden currently has roaming agreements with seven operators in Europe, allowing Telia HomeRun subscribers to connect to wireless broadband networks in 15 countries.
With the HomeRun service, business travellers and other people wanting to surf wireless with mobile broadband access can connect to the Internet, or their own corporate intranet, while they are on the move. HomeRun wireless broadband service is also available at selected locations at airports, hotels, conference centres, sports facilities, roadside restaurants, cafés and workplaces.
