TeliaSonera Finland has signed a roaming agreement on new Sonera HomeRun-service areas with Swisscom Eurospot. Use of the service abroad costs the same as the use of the HomeRun service in Finland.
The roaming agreement that has now been signed significantly expands the operating territory of the Sonera HomeRun customers in Europe. Swisscom Eurospot provides quality service in most of the countries in mainland Europe, and over 750 hotspots. The roaming agreement means that both parties to the agreement have the use of the other party's network.
After roaming with TeliaSonera Sweden and Swisscom Mobile, Swisscom Eurospot announces this up and running roaming agreement with TeliaSonera Finland Oyj "With an actual base of more than 2,000 hotspots under contract and 750 active hotspots across Europe, Scandinavian public WLAN providers were a natural step for us. Our Pan-European hotspots are business oriented, e.g. hotels, congress centers and airports.," says Frédéric Gastaldo, CEO of Swisscom Eurospot.
"Swisscom Eurospot provides much needed roaming coverage in the countries of central Europe to Sonera Homerun customers," says TeliaSonera Finland's product manager Tommi Mattila.
By means of the fast Internet access enabled by Sonera HomeRun, business matters can be promptly be taken care of, for example, in the airport, in a conference center, in a hotel room or on the meeting premises or lobbies of the companies that have a Sonera HomeRun Corporate Service area in their use. Sonera HomeRun service is in use abroad also in the Telia HomeRun service areas in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and in many international airports elsewhere in Europe and the United States.
