Telia HomeRun is Telia’s service for wireless mobile broadband connections using W-LAN technology. With HomeRun, it is also easy to work efficiently with your portable computer in locations where you might not expect to have access to the Internet. Users can connect to the Internet and access their corporate intranet and e-mail from places such as airports, hotels, conference centres, cafes, motorway service stations and sports facilities all over the world. The service can also be used onboard the aircraft of a number of airlines, such as on long-distance flights with SAS. Through co-operation with roaming partners in other countries, Telia HomeRun can be used in more than 10 000 locations in 20 countries.
Telia is constantly building out the coverage area for the HomeRun service. The latest example of collaboration is the new agreement with Accor Hotels Scandinavia, which operates 14 hotels under the Ibis brand in Sweden, from Malmo in the south, to Sundsvall in the north. Guests and visitors to Ibis facilities in Sweden can now easily manage their work at the hotel, instead of waiting until they are back at the office.
The customers can choose between a low monthly fee and pay by the minute, a slightly higher monthly fee with unlimited connection time, or a 24-hour scratchcard without a fixed monthly charge.
