Telia’s private customers in Sweden can continue to surf as much as they want on their mobile phones without worrying about running up costs. The maximum rate of SEK 9 per 24 hours, introduced in connection with a campaign offer one year ago, has been a success with customers in Sweden and has therefore been made permanent as of the beginning of this year.
With the maximum rate, customers can watch television programmes, browse as many Internet pages they want, and send as many e-mails as they desire, plus use many other mobile Internet features through the Telia SurfPort mobile portal, and the charge for traffic will be a maximum of SEK 9 per day. If customers surf for only SEK 2 per day, they will pay only SEK 2.
“We know that simplicity and cost control are important to our customers. The maximum rate has been incredibly appreciated just because it gives our customers the security and freedom to use mobile services without having to think that they will run up costs,” says Håkan Dahlström, head of Mobility Services in Sweden at TeliaSonera.
The maximum rate is valid until further notice and applies to private customers using mobile Internet services through the Telia SurfPort portal in Sweden. Some services involve an additional charge for content, such as ringtones, weather forecasts and mobile games. The charge is always displayed and has to be approved by the user before the service can be purchased.
The Telia SurfPort mobile portal offers a broad range of entertainment content and useful services. Telia SurfPort works with all Telia mobile subscriptions and prepaid cards.
