Sonera’s 3G network extends to new localities
Sonera extends its 3G network during the summer. The network will soon cover over 80 localities and 50% of the population of Finland. Along with the expansion, the data transfer rate of Sonera’s 3G network will be updated with the HSPA technology to turbo speed during the summer.
Increased mobile working and all the time diversifying mobile services make greater and greater demands to the capacity and data transfer rate of the network. Fast data transfer is of benefit, for example, in the use of e-mail, browsing of the Internet and sending of mobile picture. Many new services, including Sonera Mobile TV, Navigator, video calls, downloading of music and games go all the more flexibly by means of faster data transfer.
