TeliaSonera is intensively preparing communications in Stockholm for this unique world event and the festivities that thousands of journalists and visitors will be following. TeliaSonera is upgrading and strengthening the mobile network in Stockholm to allow all visitors to call and send text messages, images and video clips. Between June 6 and June 19, TeliaSonera is also offering free Internet surfing via Wi-Fi to the general public in the downtown Stockholm area.
"We are extremely proud that we can provide a communications platform that will allow the entire world to watch the festivities here in Stockholm," says Cecilia Edström, Senior Vice President and Head of Group Communications at TeliaSonera.
