Telia is committed to support national helplines providing free and anonymous phone-lines for children in all our core markets. To demonstrate its active support to child helplines Telia participated in the GSMA Safer Internet workshop, co-hosted with Child Helpline International, in London in May. The aim with the workshop was to create some guidelines for child helplines as support on internet safety issues, including cyberbullying, grooming and sextortion. Telia Company’s other development activities in regards to Child Helplines has been focused on increased awareness and to support the development of  solutions for children to reach Helplines via chat, primarily on mobile, as that seems to be a preferred way for children to communicate.

To demonstrate its active support to this partnership a Telia Company representative participated in the GSMA Safer Internet workshop, co-hosted with Child Helpline International.
